Securing your America On-Line (AOL) Account

AOL accounts continue to be hacked.

First step in securing your account:

• Call America On-Line:  800-827-6364
• Have them reset your account password and de-authorize any currently connected devices.
• After you have reset your password, most importantly, setup Two-Factor authentication with your account.  This is critical.  Here is information on how it works and how to setup Two-Factor Authentication to prevent such hacks.

2-step verification is an optional security feature to prevent unauthorized account use.  How this works?  After you enter your password, AOL sends a short, numeric sign-in code to your phone by either Text or Voice Call. You enter the code to complete signing in.
